Housekeeping Supervisor
Fotografiska Berlin is a contemporary museum for photography, art, and culture — a dynamic space where visual storytelling meets creative expression and social dialogue. Housed in a beautifully restored, landmarked building in Berlin’s creative heart, Fotografiska brings together thought-provoking exhibitions, inspiring events, and a vibrant hospitality experience under one roof.
We are more than just a museum. Fotografiska is a cultural platform that explores the intersection of art, sustainability, innovation, and human connection. Through curated exhibitions by emerging and established photographers, live programming, talks, concerts, and culinary experiences, we invite our guests to engage with the world through a more curious and conscious lens.
As part of the global Fotografiska family — with locations in Stockholm, Tallinn, and Shanghai — we are committed to creativity without boundaries, making culture accessible, and building community in everything we do.
The Role
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate our in-house cleaning team to ensure all public areas, exhibition halls, event spaces, conference rooms, offices, retail and hospitality spaces as well as back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and preservation — with special care for our listed building.
At the same time, you will be an active part of the cleaning team yourself: performing daily cleaning duties, assisting with event setups and turnarounds, and responding to real-time cleaning needs. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong emphasis on teamwork and accountability.

- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to maintain hygiene and presentation standards.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, and ensure proper equipment use.
- Provide on-the-ground support for exhibitions, events, and urgent cleaning needs.
- Collaborate with internal departments to prepare the museum for visitors and special programming.
- Uphold health and safety standards and support team training accordingly.

- Proven experience in housekeeping or facility services, ideally with leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience in hospitality or the hotel industry is a strong plus.
- Comfortable working hands-on in all areas of cleaning and maintenance.
